      How can you help my hearing/ear discomfort?

          A build up of wax in your ear can affect your hearing so sounds are muffled, unclear and quiter than they should be.


          Removal of this earwax can help to restore hearing and ease any discomfort, often described by patients as a sensation of "fullness."


          We use microsuction, and the very latest equipment, which is pain-free, non-invasive and one of the safest ways to remove ear wax.

      What is the process?

          We gather your medical background and carry out examination of the ear using a high powered microscope. This allows us to look deep into the ear canals so we can see what needs to be removed. before we apply gentle suction to ease the wax out of the ear. This ensures we are able to carry out the procedure quickly, safely and effectively.

      How long does it take?

          The microsuction process is swift and usually takes just 30 minutes. 

      Who will do my treatment?

          Our pharmacy team is fully accredited and experienced to provide the examination and ear wax microsuction service.

      Is it safe/painful?

          The suction process we use to draw out the ear wax is gentle and allows us to remove ear wax safely and without pain. It is a more comfortable method compared to other treatment options like ear irrigation.


          Whilst ear irrigation can be effective it is also associated with side effects and can cause complications like ear infections.
