Blood Pressure Test Service

This service is also referred to as the Hypertension case-finding service

High blood pressure can place you at risk of life-shortening events. If you are 40 or over and are concerned about this, we can carry out a blood pressure check and if appropriate provide a monitor to measure your blood pressure over a 24 hour period, just as your GP might.

All-Day, Every-Day Prescriptions

With our All Day, Every Day prescription service you can ORDER, and COLLECT your prescriptions 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. No more having to queue or wait around for home deliveries.

There is no charge for this service and you are not tied in.

HOW TO ORDER:

You can order your prescription using our app - it's free, easy to use and you can track your prescriptions progress from placing the order, to "ready at the pharmacy".

HOW TO COLLECT:

You can collect your readied prescription any time you like, day or night, 365 days a year. Simply join our service here and when your prescription is ready you'll be notified and be sent a pin number you can use to access your medicines from our automated collection point at the pharmacy.

Pharmacist Consultation Service

When you call the out of hours service 111, they may decide a pharmacy referral would benefit you more than a trip to A&E or another service.

The service supports those that need prescription medicines urgently as well as those that are unwell but can't easily see a doctor or were seeing a GP would not be appropriate.

Discharge Medicine Service

Returning home from the hospital with new medicines can be daunting. Our pharmacist is here to help to put your mind at ease. We'll check your medicines when you return to ensure everything is as it should be and advise you on how best to take them so you get the most from them.

Dossett (Blister Pack) Service

Do you forget to take your prescription medicines when you should? Perhaps you accidentally "double-up* because you can't remember if you took a dose or not.

Our blister packs (pill packs) can help. They organise your medication so you know exactly which medicine to take and when.

Emergency Supplies

If you find yourself without your regular prescribed medicines, and are unable to arrange a supply in time, our pharmacist may be able to help.

This service is only available in genuine situations of need and it may incur a charge.

Flu Vaccination (Seasonal)

Each year we take part in the national flu vaccination programme. The service is free and available to people aged 18 years and older that qualify for exemption. We also offer a great value private service for those that are do not meet the criteria for exemption.

A list of exemptions categories is available in the pharmacy and on the NHS website but we also make it available here when they are published by the NHS.

New Medicine Service

When you are prescribed a new medicine to treat a long-term condition, our pharmacist can advise on how and when to take your medicine to maximise the benefits and reduce the risk of side-effects.

The initial conversation is followed up two weeks later to discuss any problems you may have. A final follow-up will take two weeks later.

Our pharmacy team will identify patients on medicines that qualify for the service and will invite you to chat to our pharmacist in the privacy of our consultation room.
