      What should I do if I run out of my medication abroad?

          If you are travelling outside the UK and in urgent need of medication the best action to take is to contact your GP and visit the nearest pharmacy around you. Pharmacists are authorised to supply you with prescription medicine after assessing your case properly.

      Is this service free of charge?

          If you have a 111 referral, normal NHS prescription charges apply.


          For other emergency supplies, you may be charged for the cost of the medication.
